The West African Society of Toxicology (WASOT) was founded in 2012 as a regional enclave of Society of Toxicology (SOT), concerned with a multidisciplinary organization of professional from diverse backgrounds. The society cross-cuts from Natural science, social science, medical science, clinical science, and even to computational science. The main aim of the organization is to ensure the safety of chemicals, drugs and poisons. And also, the environmental impact of exposures of these chemicals, whether in our foods, water, environment, cosmetics, gadgets and electronics.
WASOT operates under the following principles:
